ABOUT THE WINDSOR YOUTH SHORT FILM SHOWCASE
The Windsor Youth Short Film Showcase is a livestream project funded by the ACHF COVID-19 Enhanced Funding Grant. This showcase will feature films made by Windsor’s up and coming local filmmakers.
The films that will be screened are created by Gen-Z filmmakers ages 13-24. The showcase (a 45-50 minute compilation of films) will screen online for one week. Audience members/viewers will have a chance to vote via an online survey for a series of audience choice awards including Best Production, Best Cast, and Best Rookie Film (directors ages 17 and under). Nominations and awards will be announced via a live stream ceremony. All genres are welcome!
Submissions will be accepted from May 13 to May 20. The films will be judged by local established film and media professionals. From June 5 until June 12, the selected films will be compiled into a livestream that will be shared across social media platforms. During this time, viewers can vote for their favourite films for the Audience Choice awards.
The awards ceremony can be viewed on Youtube Live on June 19, 2020 at 2 pm.
